Katadyn Group with new online presence

The Swiss corporate group relaunches its key websites with a new and improved look and feel and a clever e-tail system for its leading brands Katadyn, Optimus, Trek’n Eat and AlpineAire Foods. Customers who buy from at least two of the new brand shops within the 360° Outdoor Kitchen will be rewarded with a free gift.

In addition to the new, updated design and page layout, the site revision in particular puts a laser focus on customer benefits. “When it comes to the topics of nutrition and water treatment in the outdoor industry, we at the Katadyn Group are one of the global leaders. With the relaunch of our websites, our comprehensive product portfolio and our expertise will offer a better experience and friendlier usability for our online customers,” announced Viola Frey, Head of Marketing at the Katadyn Group.

The three key outdoor brands of the Katadyn Group are cleverly integrated into one online shop – the “360° Outdoor Kitchen.” Just like in a well-organized specialty retailer, users will be guided competently across the topics and brand environments of Katadyn, Trek’n Eat and Optimus. If needed, advice is available and customer purchases can be taken care of in one shopping cart in one transaction. To assist in a targeted and relaxed shopping experience, users will find intuitive user interfaces, interactive information and navigational tools as well as imagery to spark emotional ties.

“In order to make the brands and topics of Katadyn visible and experiential, the new websites are more than ever a platform for stories and adventures from the brand environments, in other words, from the stories and adventures of the outdoor community. This is achieved in part with modern social media engagement,” explained Hannes Künkel from the Third Pole agency. The German creative group, which specializes in the outdoor industry, was responsible for strategy, design and content for the new online presence for the Katadyn Group. Together with Blackbit, which implemented the websites technically, they had won the agency pitch for the relaunch of the web presence.

The relaunch of the corporate website -- -- and the brand websites --, and – are the first stage of a new online strategy, which is also in planning for the company’s other brands.
